Plasticity - Digital NFT Series

This project is a digital illustration meant to convey frustration when facing discrimination in a biased world. The faces are splatted against a hard surface, which illustrates defeat. The figures' facial expressions and features exemplify sadness, pain, and determination. The symbols in the background represent the emotions and behaviors involved when overcoming disrespect, being marginalized, and escaping stereotypes. The rainbow of colors I used are meant to be representative of hope for something better. The unflattened features of their faces are also representative of strength when facing adversity. While I have injected this intentional meaning, the pieces are also open to interpretation. They can mean whatever the viewer sees, as long as some sense of emotion is communicated.
