Where I'm From - Rohe 2

'Where I'm From' is a series of circular artworks made from discarded materials that I salvage from old houses in my local area. Most of the homes are from a bygone era, each containing unique elements that I find interesting and worth saving for the next generation.

This work contains vintage wallpaper, vintage linoleum, turned wooden spindle, mid-century handle. Several timbers: Kauri, Rimu, Cedar, Pine, Oak, hardboard.

360mm Diameter

Galvanised Iron frame

Rohe is a Maori word that translates to 'the territory or boundaries of Iwi (tribes), which I interpret as 'Where I'm from'.
