'Women's Health Magazine' editorial illustrations

Women's Health magazine UK contacted me through my agent at Bright illustration to produce three editorial illustrations for their April issue.

The title of the article was 'The secret shame of the side hustle', which spoke about the mental struggles faced by female entrepreneurs and their respective businesses. For the opening full spread illustration, I focused on the general concept that the story was trying to convey, that mental health can suffer when running your own business and being 'stuck in your head.' Showing the woman being trapped but no one else could see was important to relate to the words 'secret' and 'shame' that were in the title of the article.
