YouTube Thumbnail Design for Finance Blogger

Elaine Munroe is a financial advisor with a YouTube channel – Munroe Report -- where she talks about crypto currencies and current events and interviews leading figures in business. 

She wanted a branding strategy to give her channel a consistent and unique look that displays some of her personality, but communicates that she is a professional. Specifically, she wanted a new template design for her YouTube thumbnails.

My goal was to develop a digital brand for a YouTube channel that redefines the preconceived notion of a financial advisor by creating a unique look that speaks to a younger generation.

I borrowed from Miss Munroe’s cultural influences and interests to give her branding a personalised touch, using aspects of the cyberpunk aesthetic which does not overwhelm the designs and still gives her the outward impression of being a professional and knowledgeable in her field.
