For the last few years I've developed a presence on Facebook and on Etsy and wanted to have an address to point users to for purchasing and customizing my products with more control and fewer fees than Etsy. My goals were as follows:
Design a Woocommerce store that cemented the visual guidelines I'd been building around my brand, feminine and bold.Â
Needed to be responsive and work across devices and load relatively fast.
Needed to implement additional plug-ins that allowed me to control stock from a centralized location as the products were mostly customizable and used the same blanks across several products.
Needed to be able to add custom fields in the checkout experience so customers could add a few different customizations which isn't something WooCommerce offers standard.
Implement the tools necessary to improve accessibility, security, and SEO for a competitive web presence across modern browsers and devices.
