Keirin

Hi Everyone,

I've recently had the opportunity to collaborate with RocketTheme again on the design of another Joomla template.

This third template is called Keirin (later officially renamed as Ricochet). The codename was based on the Japanese track cycling racing scene Keirin, the frames used in this sport are known for their strenght, geometric balance and minimalistic componentry. I've tried to incorporate these philisophies into the design language. To achieve this, I've strived to work the typography in a way that would feel organic and natural to improve readability but yet still sophisticated enough.

Creating some diversity while keeping some degree of consistency across the different sections was also not an easy task, as it was absolutely important to make sure that they would feel like they belong to the same organism, yet unique in their own form, while providing an undisrupted flow.

As for the whole usage case scenario, this template can easily fit a Magazine, clearly content-driven website that has to provide an enjoyable reading experience, motivating the reader to keep himself engaged and curious.

I hope you enjoy it. You can also take a look at the RocketTheme website for more templates, they're currently working on some very nice projects, including a Flat-File CMS called Grav.

Please make sure you check out @2x preview and the attachment.
