Vyshyvanka (embroidered shirt)

Vyshyvanka is a casual name for the embroidered shirt in Ukrainian national costumes. In the 19th century, ornaments and clothing finishing techniques were so unique that it was possible to determine from which village the wearer or owner came from a shirt. Vyshyvankas were not just clothes, but also a real talisman - they protected their owners from all evil. Now vyshyvanka is a popular trend not only in Ukraine, but also abroad. Elements of Ukrainian ethnic motifs are used by many famous world designers.

This work is dedicated to Ukraine, which is fighting for its freedom for the second month. Thousands of Ukrainians were forced to leave their homes. Any support for Ukraine and Ukrainians is very important and necessary - please don't stop, don't be silent! The whole world needs to know what's going on here! Evil must be punished!
