Clifton Village Cricket Club Logo
Introducing the new logo for Clifton Village Cricket Club!
There has been a Clifton Cricket Team playing since 1813 but Clifton Cricket Club was formally constitutionalised in 1884. Despite the long and prestigious history of the Club it has never had its own unique club emblem. It wasn’t until the year 2000 when the Club entered the NCB Premier League that it adopted the original club shield logo. This image was actually a direct copy of a local School logo of that time, and as such has regularly caused confusion. Furthermore, the school logo is an adaptation that depicts a swan-like bird as opposed to the peacock of the Clifton Family crest. Our goal was to create a design that aligned the club more closely with its roots.
Club officials approached Red Kite to create a new and unique identity to represent Clifton Village Cricket Club. Components of the original logo were included in the rebrand, as well as newly adapted elements inspired by the Clifton family coat of arms. The new club crest respects and incorporates elements from the rich history, heritage and origins of the club whilst incorporating this into a bold and striking modern design that will stand the test of time.
