Marker

Been playing around with the Cinema 4D demo. Decided to model one of my markers. It didn't come out quite as good as I was trying to, but I'm still happy with it.

The main issue I have is I can't seem to get a texture to the nib, like a felt or something. Everything I do it just turns out smooth. Any suggestions?
