INKplant — EU Research Project Branding

Hi Dribbble!

Today is World Health Day, therefor I'd like to introduce you this branding we did for INKplant, an European research project doing a hard work to improve the life quality of Europe’s elderly population.

The problem they are tackling is that today, medical implants are manufactured in standard sizes and shapes. But no two bodies are the same!

Inkplant partners are developing the fusion of different biomaterials and 3D printing technologies for personalized body implants. The scaffolds they are developing will regenerate tissues in the body and potentially reduce healthcare costs and rehabilitation time.

We helped them conceptualized all this by designing an isotype in which its shapes are the combination of the 'ink' letters, building a unique and personal symbol. The triangular shapes represent the extruder nozzles that, using the two processes of 3D printing and 3D inkjet printing, create a vertical shape that symbolizes the implant that will later be used to fix the patient's damage bone.
