Ratiocination
Ratiocination: Graphite & charcoal on cold press paper; 2352X1700—this piece is something I could write a book about—I’ve written several articles on religion, spirituality, culture, and philosophy. I’ve found the process of aging brings about thoughts on what happens after death and makes us wonder about the life we’ve lived. For me, Hume’s quote holds weight in what is dangerous versus ridiculous. To preach love and acceptance with one face while waging war on those who oppose you with the other face is a risky game to play. To live one’s life with thoughts and theories and ponder different experiences is only silly to the individual not deadly to the collective whole.
