Seraphic

Seraphic: Graphite & Drafting Pen on cold press paper; 2144X1694—a running theme in my visual art ties into what it takes to become a woman. As a young child, I believed I had to take what was provided to me and adjust my life. While I didn’t want half of what I was given and being an only child, I found refuge in books, journaling, and art. I believe that time of my life was crucial in helping me become the woman I am today.  As De Beauvoir states, we “become” a woman—we create ourselves in the face of an oppressive society.
