Alan & Ausel logo and name

This small operation approached me as a referral from a prior client, looking for a new logo. Their name when we met was Puerto Vallarta Finest Peanut Brittle, which immediately struck me as... difficult.

With no real ownable brand name and a very limiting descriptor, I advised that before any logo work was done, they should consider re-naming themselves.

After some back and forth and an examination of their existing assets, I was struck by a small note on the back of their packaging, signed simply Alan & Ausel.

The containing shape, while largely abstract, does reference peanuts, alluding to their flagship product, while the new name leaves them open to expand their offerings.

And I love that purple-grey with that chartreuse.
