MW Self-Branding

Hello! I'm trying to create a new logo for myself. The old one you can see (in profile), is quite generic so I'm trying to come up with something a little more chic. I would love to hear some opinions. The ones I have received from friends and family have been mixed. The one's who weren't so keen didn't like it because they didn't see the MW right away. Does that matter? Your opinions matter to me! :)
