#31DaysOfMonsters DAY 24: Harpy
In Greek mythology and Roman mythology, a Harpy was a rapacious monster described as having a woman's head and body with a bird's wings and claws or depicted as a bird of prey with a woman's face. They steal food from their victims while they are eating and carry evildoers (especially those who have killed their family) to the Erinyes. They seem originally to have been wind spirits. Their name means "snatchers".
