Softmax Activation Function

In mathematics, the softmax activation function, also known as softargmax or normalized exponential function. SoftMax function is described as a combination of multiple sigmoid functions. As the sigmoid functions returns the values in the range of 0 and 1, which can be treated as probabilities of a data point belonging to a particular class. That’s why sigmoid functions are mainly used for binary classification problems.
