Focal Point 3

This is a selected work from a series that was heavily inspired by Op Artists such as Victor Vasarely and Bridget Riley. It revolved around an exploration of line, pattern, and color - with a recurring motif of a single circular element within a warping and undulating series of lines.

As the project evolved I became increasingly interested in subtle texturing, the mood of the pieces and the quality of the edges, specifically - although these compositions have been generated and refined through contemporary software, I was focused upon the slight visual artefacting/aliasing around the edges which harkened back to early digital work, and the unique feel and atmosphere that they evoke.
