Himig

The mobile app Himig is a fictitious media player with audio streaming capabilities. The app is named after the Tagalog term meaning “melody” which relates to the end-product of the app.

A clear and clean design is paramount to depict ease of use and functional clarity. Color scheme was selected to reflect the turquoise waters around the Philippine archipelago that relate to the ebb and flow of sound waves. Visual elements were kept clean and concise to provide clarity and emphasis on content hierarchy. The intention of the overall design is to highlight the end-product by designing low key elements around it.

Himig seeks to uplift the local music scene in the Philippines by providing its users a vast music library of local tracks, high quality audio, curated playlists, and exclusive partnerships with the local music industry.
