Siné

A seat reservation website of a fictitious cinema house called Siné. It is named after the Tagalog term meaning “cinema”.

I preferred a clean and concise design to reinforce the website’s responsiveness in mobile, tablet, and desktop interfaces. The selected color scheme operates on a “dark mode” palette to simulate the experience of the user inside the theater. Other visual elements are designed to contrast the color scheme to highlight important touchpoints. The overall look and feel seeks to exude familiarity by mimicking the aesthetic of the cinema.

Siné intends to have an easy accessibility on the site and have a seamless process on the entire movie watching experience. The first goal is accomplished by having a responsive design for different platforms. Design elements are straightforward and consistent so that there is no confusion on user cognition when accessing the site on various platforms. The entire procedure of movie watching is made seamless not only through the site’s accessibility, but through the use of technology. This is primarily manifested when users can simply have their purchased digital tickets scanned upon entry. The website’s design interface can also be used for interactive screens on-site to cater to walk-in cinema goers.
