Belief
An on-going series of digital posters depicting my personal beliefs. In this set, I’ve focused on Love, Dreams, and Happiness. Color schemes and visual flourishes were selected based on the mood and message of each belief.
The main inspiration for the aesthetic of love is the romantic evening sky. The Latin phrase translates to “The stars incline us, they do not bind us”. Encounters on love might be tied to destiny, but human beings ultimately have the power to steer it based on our own free will.
To have a dream, is to be in two states: one in reality and the other in imagination. The visual theme for this belief is to show the transition from the two states. The cool color reflects the vastness of dreams as it progresses to the warm hues of dawn to manifest the dreams in reality.
Perspective is key in understanding the attainment of happiness. As human beings, our minds submerge us with countless possibilities. To be happy is to be present in reality, and although possibilities are good tools of foresight, it shouldn’t drown us in what we can do and feel in the present. Visually, I depicted this drowning in the form of teardrops and a color palette that depicts sadness overhead but has the ability to be joyous underneath it all.
