Honey Bee Pattern Lino Print

This pattern design was created from a hand carved lino cut and print. I first drew the bee with pencil on linoleum, then I carved the block out using Speedball carving tools. After the relief carved was done, I inked the block and made prints.

I scanned a print in and created a vector of the honeybee design keeping the organic and handcrafted look of the carving. I explored pattern design and repeat ideas in Adobe Illustrator turning and mixing the bees in different directions and different background colors.

This repeat pattern is great for organic products and packaging, fabric and textile design, surface design and of course branding for local honey.
