PROJECT TASK/CHALLENGE
Social drinkers are getting bored of ordering the same cocktails at events and want a universal way of sharing, creating, and try different and exciting cocktails that are more suited their personal tastes and preferences. Different establishments could make users aware of their options they have to offer so there’s no surprises for customers. Therefore the task at hand should be: To design and create a high-fidelity, functional prototype of a cocktail-based social media app that will benefit both the experiences of the consumer and supplier.
PROJECT SOLUTION
The app should function essentially the same as a normal social media with the ability to “like” and “comment” on other users’ drinks. You should be able to follow people or brands, share your own creations, and put a special twist on an existing drink (this will be called “remixing”). It will be image based, meaning users will have to upload a “thumbnail” image that will be shown through the user’s “timeline” or home screen. There will also be options to see what the creator has shared about the process of making the drink. The app will use the ingredients/perceived taste of the drinks to recommend specific ones for the user to try at any time.
