Actually I'm not quite sure the exact meaning of onboarding before I did this project. I read several articles and browse various examples of onboarding.

After I've done the research, it made me begin to think about the product I'm doing recently. I'm doing a SaaS product which contains lots of features. I think the onboarding screen should be either brief or attractive. A user-guided tour should be followed after user finished the regular welcome screen. It is also important to have a well informed empty states so that user can know where to start it.
