Sales surveys show that revenues from publishing audiobooks rose by 12% last year. Like many other types of entertainment, book reading goes digital step by step. Our designers got inspired and created a new audiobook app to keep up with the trend.
The first screen displays a last-listened book with an indicator of time left, a book genre filter, and a list of books rated by users. The second screen displays the book cover, a timeline, and buttons for playing and rewinding the recording.
For this concept, we chose a calm and balanced color scheme with the main colors being dark grey and white. This reserved color palette draws a user’s attention to book covers – the main colorful accent of this design.
Using the tab bar in the lower part of the screen, users can create their own book collections to return to them later. A simple interface provides easy access to all the functions of the app allowing users to focus on listening to audiobooks.
