peeled
wish i'd saved the source indesign file for this; the preview is quite compressed and now it's rendering all small and weird and cropped, dribbble what. you can click on it to actually see it bigger. anyway i wrote a poem and felt like also putting it on a page. poem below
again, consumed;
a web of veins—bright,
flickering;
what is that every time?
---
skin meets eyes,
turns to stone—leaves are carried off
---
a dizzying call—
start at the arm
---
quickly!
become a
statue in an empty
parking lot
---
live as prey, a world of
predators—inside is
out now
---
clothing—to the
eyes—is nothing
---
sinew peeled back,
but end at the throat
---
where there is hunger,
there is stone—again
---
(medusa is turned, again, again)
