Mariners Church series design // FROM THE CROSS

Sermon series key art design for Mariners Church in California.

This 6-week series titled "The Words of Jesus From The Cross" leads up to Easter 2022 at Mariners Church.

I worked in collaboration with their creative team to put together mood boards and several design concepts, and this is the version we landed on that fit the overall goals the best. I designed and delivered the main series key art, and the Mariners Church team adapted it for some other series collateral as well, including a leader guide.

The series title lockup is in the shape of a cross. Surrounding the series title are some of the words of Jesus that he spoke from the cross to illustrate the idea of the words flowing out from the cross.

Here is the series overview provided by Mariners Church:

"As Jesus was dying, He uttered seven sayings from the cross—with each teaching us something unique about His great love for us, what His sacrifice accomplishes for us, and the profound beauty of the darkest day in history. These sayings continue to speak to us, revealing Jesus’ heart and His humanity. Join us as we enter an important time in the Christian calendar and begin the journey to Easter with our message series, From The Cross, to hear what Jesus said in His dying moments, learn what His words mean for you, and see the cross like you never have before."
