Branding Electro Cowboy
Since 2018, we’ve been helping bring clothing brand Electro Cowboy from the ground up and into the indie skater scene. Through clever branding, targeted advertising and unconventional mediums, an underground brand evolved using ATL mediums for BTL approaches.
Why did we do it that way? The targeted audience were particularly aware, brand driven, and tech-savvy individuals. They avoided large brands in favour of indie ones and preference is given to cred. So play to it and be front and centre! We love to blur the lines between advertising and being part of the natural environment, using strategies from targeted promotions to ‘digital hangouts’. We knew the Electro Cowboy community gravitate to unconventional media and we wanted to be present in their world, without shoving it upon them.
A combination of above the line (ATL) and below the line (BTL) promotions made sure that the client was always in the mix when someone was searching for some new kit! A true niche market success story.
This case study is a great example of a brand that is self-aware, driven and hungry for success.
