Harvest Magazine

The creative side of Long Dog Agency was born many years ago in the form of a project called Harvest Magazine. Lewie and Eltanin had already met and worked on several jobs previously, so when the opportunity presented to jump onboard for Harvest, they were both thrilled. 

Harvest was a quarterly lifestyle magazine which sought to encourage a re-connection with the audience’s surroundings and food sources. Each edition featured a vegetable that was in season during the publication period and was covered in depth with a focus on recipes, nutrition, growing, history, uses, myths and literature surrounding that food. 

Creative group work is not a simple montage of brainstorming and breakthroughs. There are many aspects of production from time management, cohesion, communication and executing the brief. Lew and Eltanin worked seamlessly and developed as a team during this time.

It’s something we often look back on with fondness over a glass of wine on a Friday afternoon. The dream is that one day Harvest will rise again. Regardless, it continues to hold a special place in our hearts and will always be one of our favourite projects.
