Form UX Writing: Cfc India

Background: CFC India sends out a weekly article to the users who have signed up for it. While the article is free forever, the word Subscribe on the article banner suggested that it could possibly involve some sort of payment.

To make sure that users sign up without hesitating, we changed the text and added the word FREE upfront. We also changed the button text from Subscribe to Submit.

While this change was based on intuition, we later found out that companies such as Apple did an extensive research that confirmed our intuition.

An excerpt from the article: "Tom Webster from Edison Research says 47% of people who don’t currently listen to podcasts think that 'subscribing’ to a podcast will cost money".
