Zebras + Oxpeckers = Safety & Independence

Attached at the hip—often times literally—oxpeckers and zebras focus on maintaining balance in their mutualistic relationship. Zebras and other large animals provide a near constant source of food in the form of ticks and flies that surround their fur. As payment for their buggy feast, oxpeckers help eradicate the unwanted parasites and give shouts of warning if enemies approach.  Find a partner that cares enough to get the bugs off you.
