Design Principles Animation — Contrast

I created a series of slides featuring graphic representations of the six primary design principles: Alignment, Balance, Contracts, Hierarchy, Repetition and White Space.

The graphical representations of each principle were designed in a 'Thick Lines' style that can be easily translated into physical media, such as postcards and posters.

Contrast creates strong visual impact through use of color, size and texture. Crucially the use of contrast doesn’t have to be purely graphical. By using more tangible elements, such as different printing methods and paper stocks a designer can achieve just as dramatic an effect as when using more visual techniques.
