Letter - From Your Valentine

Before designing, I researched the origin of Valentine's Day. There are many martyrdom stories associated with February 14, my favorite version being that of St. Valentine of Rome, who was imprisoned for preaching to Christians persecuted by the Roman Empire in the third century. According to an early accounts, St. Valentine restored the sight of his jailer's blind daughter. The 18th century added to this legend by claiming that he wrote a letter signed "Your Valentine" to his jailer's daughter as a farewell before his execution.

Design thinking: Death brings a sad and extreme romance to love. I took the last letter from Valentine as the theme, and used black and white as the main color. With faded roses and reverse colors, it creates a strong visual impact and a feeling that love will lasts until the end of time.

Please like it if you enjoy this piece of work.

Happy Valentine's Day!
