Avon Lake

I tried to design this a decade ago before I had any training in design, but in hindsight, that didn't turn out well.

I was proud of it at the time, but after sitting on it for ten years, the prez of my high school's hockey boosters hit me up and said they found it on Google and wanted to use the logo on their new hockey sweaters. I told them that I'd come a long way since then and that I'd re-do it for them.

The school has used an AL anchor logo for decades, but it's one that was designed by the former art teacher who was a football coach there for a long time. It has more of a midcentury style to it, and the anchor image is much more subtle. So subtle, in fact, that it took me years to figure out that it was an anchor (see attachment).
