Case Study: Pick & Win
The challenge BoostUP, Boost eWallet's loyalty program launched 5 months ago and it was a great success. As the feature grew bigger week by week, there were a couple of problems: 1) 9% of Boost Users (Level 4 users) owns 65% of the coins. 2) 73% of the coin redemptions were Wallet Rebate (cash voucher).
The solution While it's easier to remove cash vouchers from the reward catalog, we want a new mini-feature to burn the coins in circulation. After a few quick brainstorming sessions with PO and the marketing manager, we selected Pick & Win as our next feature for BoostUP.
I designed the MVP in a week and conducted an intensive UT with our UX Researcher. Pick & Win was launched 2 sprints later.
The result Pick & Win was an instant success. By August 2020 (Launched May), it made up 18% of total coin burn. Cash voucher redemption drops from 80% to 64%. It averages 100,000 participants every month.
