Symbol of the city

This project was the final exam for the Illustrator Advanced course that I finished a month ago. The main idea was to pick a city and show the most popular symbols of it in the first letter of the city. I chose Burgas, which is very close to my hometown, and decided to use some of its most well-known emblems. Everyone that ever visited Burgas, surely walked by Gubkata in the Sea Garden, a popular place to meet with people while going on a nice stroll along the beautiful alleys. The next one is the Clock Tower of the Central Rail Station, which is a place that I have visited a lot in the past years, while I was in University and had to travel back home. The Rail Station was renovated a few years back and is now glowing again. The last, but definitely not least is another popular place set as a meeting place is the Gramophone, which is also located near the Sea Garden. I've always admired this piece of art. There's an old saying, that if you rotate the hand of the Gramophone, you can hear the name of the person who's in love with you. I also added a seagull, as a last detail in the composition, as the sound it makes is one of the first things that comes to my mind when I think of Burgas.
