mars - a little bit of my father (and me)

this NFT (avalable on hicetnunc and OBJKT) was painted over a drawing that my father did in te early 90s (probably between 1989 and 1992) in a piece of paperboard that he used to illustrate a cassette mixtape. both of my parents are artisans and work mostly with the painting, assembly and finishing of wooden sculptures, i grew up in a house with an atelier downstairs. having contact with art since i was born reflected on all my personality and interests, trying and exploring art was always encouraged by both of them. my father was always inclined towards art too, my grandpa was a photographer and painter in his spare time, there's a huge box full of drawings he did from since he was a child to his teenage years (with whole lots of psychedelic images that could easily be 80s new-wave synthpop album covers) and a lot of photos of paintings and pyrography works of his early years as an artisan, i was raised by people who live on art. nowadays my dad still works with art in his atelier and as a photographer on his spare time, he participated of expositions, galleries, events, i don't even consider him an craftsman anymore, maybe something between an artist and a designer, he's inspiring and this definitely shaped what i am.
