Portfolio piece: Magazine article layout

Using an interview published in an online music magazine, I re-imagined it as a print article. I spent some time editing one of the musician’s professional photoshoots to fit the format of a magazine publication, extending parts of the images to create a sense of darkness and space. I tried to keep the text in step with that feeling, using simple geometric fonts and balancing dense body text with wide open spaces to create visual rhythm.
