Mock Up: Nerd Shirts

You hear the news? Scott Pilgrim is coming back!! In the form of a Netflix anime! And boy, I could not be any more excited for it! SP is one of my all time favorite comics and movie. EASILY in my top 10 for both lists! It combined cool fighting action with video game logic in just the right way that made me snap up all the books. Literally, it was the first series I actually collected for a while, ahah.

Anyways, one of my favorite little details about SP were the shirts Scott wore throughout. They were all band names, which was fine and perfectly in character as he is a musician himself. But I always felt he should've had one or two shirts relating to video games...At least that's what I recall. Could be wrong as it's been a while since my last read-thru.

With that in mind, I threw together a few mock-up shirt designs that I feel Scott would've worn. In order, we got the Neo Geo Pocket control nub, the NES Select and Start buttons, a classic 25 cent coin slot and the CD hatch from the Amiga CD32 (which DID release in Canada surprisingly enough).

At the very least, I'd wear these. The CD32 one especially. Nothing like flexing your knowledge with a little inside baseball!

I should also note that this is going to be my last Pro post because for as good Dribbble is as a site, Freelancing on here has not panned out at all so far and I can't in good conscious pay for another month when I know I won't get any takers. Might as well make the most of it before it runs out, right?
