Behind the Scenes Inspiration: Designing the South Carolina Print

After brainstorming ways to visually represent South Carolina, we decided to take the design in a literal direction. We pulled up a list of official state symbols and jotted down our favorite ones. These plants and animals would become the motifs in our repeat pattern.

• Whitetail Deer: state animal

• Palmetto: state tree

• Peaches: state fruit
