Project:

Orixá deity ruling the seas and oceans of religions of African origin, Iemanjá represents the mother of almost all orixás, also known as Queen of the waters, Sereia, Inaê, Dandalunda, and Janaína, among other nomenclatures.

The concept of this illustration project is to create updates for the images already known of the deities of religions of African origin (Orixás do Candomblé, Umbanda among other religions), with Iemanjá as the first illustration in this series. The main idea is to stylize the appearance of the orixás, creating a differentiation for the existing images, and emphasizing scenes of the relationship of these deities with their natural elements, so that later these images serve as a basis for paintings, posters, prints, etc.
