Bleep by BitTorrent Android Alpha Release

It's Live! Today we release Bleep by BitTorrent for Android.

Bleep, currently in alpha, is a private messaging app by BitTorrent that lets you make voice calls and send text messages over your wi-fi or cellular data connection. Bleep is a peer to peer chat client, meaning there’s no central server that can see or store your messages or metadata.

Every message sent through Bleep is fully encrypted, end to end, and only stored locally on your device, ensuring privacy with every message. Users can also easily delete their encrypted message history, leaving no trace of conversation behind.

We suggest using Bleep on wi-fi only (unless you have an unlimited data plan). Bleep currently consumes a large amount of data and battery life. We will be addressing this very soon in a future release.
