Toxic Masculinity • 6 / 6

Let's hear it for the nice guys!

I've had someone say this phrase to me before ... “Nice guys finish last.”

This made me feel inadequate, question my character, and question whether being my true, genuinely nice self was worth it.

How ridiculous, huh?

This is a phrase that needs to go away because it’s simply not true.

What this phrase and perception is teaching people is that bad behavior wins.

The problem with this is that it's only being viewed in the short-term.

Bad behavior may win the short game but life is a long game.

When viewed in the long-term, kindness always gets rewarded when it's coming from a place of realness.

There's a difference between true kindness and fake kindness.

Those posing as fake nice guys are the ones who finish last.

Be your true self and good will prevail.

Kindness always wins. 🤍
