The Great Monolith

Mixed media artwork of a large metal sculpture in Falkirk, Scotland. I tried to capture the imposing, atmospheric way that this tall statue looms above you out of the mist and rain of a grey Scottish day.

Kelpie: (in Scottish legends) a water spirit, usually having the form of a horse, reputed to cause drownings or to warn those in danger of drowning.
