Polaris Magazine
My contributions to a magazine I made with my classmates last year. Polaris was created entirely from scratch by our class. We wrote the articles, designed the magazine, and we all had separate roles in its creation.
I served as a typographic editor and my contributions to the magazine as a whole included: creating the grid the rest of the magazine went off of, font choices, naming the magazine, writing most of the mission statement, writing articles, and editing typos/design issues. I also wrote two articles: one about comic conventions, and another about Chicago's local DIY bands.
This project was a great experience and I’d love to work on publications more in the future.
