Being an indie author can be rewarding on so many levels, but it can also be incredibly daunting with the overwhelming amount of tasks filling your plate and limited funding to make your dream come true. More often than not, great design comes at a hefty price tag, creating a hurdle most indie authors cannot financially afford to overcome, and as a result, covers suffer, and indie publishing as a whole gets mocked.
