Avanti West Coast - Covid Comms - Social Post

Based on the Government guidance and the Rail Delivery Group (RDG) toolkit, Avanti West Coast wanted to create their very own branded response to the Covid–19 crisis. Although a suite of comms had already been established by the RDG, Avanti West Coast wanted to use this as an opportunity to raise the bar and get the public engaged with the new brand. A suite of customised communcations were created to keep colleagues, customers and communities up to speed with the latest travel information. The toolkit consisted of calmer colours taken from the brand palette, thicker weights of their typeface and a new suite of Covid–19 specific iconography. The response reached mupltiple touchpoints throughout the business and even the trains recieved face masks!The Covid–19 response was proven effective and was recognised as 'setting the standard' by the RDG. But most importantly of all, the toolkit provided a means of engaging, educating, and ultimately reassuring everyone that they were in safe hands.
