Old Philippine Writing System

It's sad but the Philippines actually has a lost writing system. It's called "Baybayin". It's rare to see somebody who actually knows this and it's not even taught in school.

It goes by syllables with markings to signify whether the vowel that's paired with the consonant is A (no marking), E (a bar above), I (a circle above), O (a circle below), and U (a bar below). In cases where the vowel should be omitted, an "x" is put under the character.
