Book cover concepts

A personal project in collaboration with a good friend of mine who just finished writing a book. These are the initial concepts I sketched for him. He has a clear direction on this, but at the beginning, I took some time to put together a few concepts based on his brief.

Nothing spectacular, but I love how a cover can change completely your perception of what to expect inside a book, even if you don't play by the 'don't judge a book by its cover' thing. :P
