'Fraternidad Artística y Cultural La Diablada' (FACLD) Brand

75 years, one story.

A new brand was created to celebrate 75 years of the 'La Diablada Artistic and Cultural Fraternity' (FACLD).

The Oruro Carnival was declarated by UNESCO in 2001 as an 'Intangible Cultural Heritage of the World'.

The 'Diablada' dance represents the fight between evil and the Sacred.

Some of the characters are:

  • The devil.

  • Devil's ladies called 'Chinasupay' (Supay means devil in Quichua).

  • Archangel Gabriel.

  • 7 deadly sins represented each, as a variation of the Devil.

  • And more...

The concept was to include a Devil mask with a dragon on top. These elements are characteristic to the 'Diablada' dance from Bolivia.

The concept in one of the Brand applications created (the poster), was to create a mountain over the lady with the Bear Costume and the dancers climbing the mountain to reach the Cathedral on the top.
