The Kiss - Klimt

In my family we always try to give handmade and/or thoughtful gifts. For this year, I'm inspired by Gustav Kilmt's The Kiss. I put my own spin on the design, with one of my favorite pics of my fiancee & I, I utilized a rough textured gold paper background with a series on concentric circles burned into it, which acts to focus the eye on the kiss. Drawing from Klimt's work, I created a loose rectagular pattern for overlaid on my jacket. A deep black leather texture speaks to the aesthetic of Kilmt's work. My fiancee's jacket is overlaid in gold leaf with a acid trip inspired circular pattern.
